The first part of a project that started in the mid 80's by Imi (the founder) and Eyal (head instructor).
This is the first and currently the only authorized book in English, and the biggest one ever published on Krav-Maga techniques, principles and perception. In the future basics of KM will published too.

256 pages, with over 500 photos, English language edition published by the Dekel Publishing House, June 2001.
Other publications in other languges are already out: German, Dutch, Japanese, Szech and Spanish.
The book contains practical and theoretical subject, techniques and principles,
applicable to real life situations, and also some of the history and background
of the system and its founder :
We start with - Forwards, Introduction, Preface, and What is KravMaga?
The main bulk of the book starts with the chapters - Defense against Knife-
Attack; Defense against Impending Threat with a Knife; Defendingagainst
an Assailant Armed with a Stick.
The section of defending a threat with different firearms includes- Neutralizing
Threat at Gunpoint; Neutralizing a Threat with a Rifle; Submachine Gun or
Shotgun; and Hostage Situations.
Using Everyday Objects as Defensive Weapons, is partly a theoretical chapter,
followed by the chapters Short Stick against Knife Attack; and Stick against Stick.
Sealing the technical part of the book is the chapter Defense Against Two Armed Assailants.
The theoretical section includes - Principles behind the Defense Techniques; Dealing
with a Violent Incident: Evaluation, Reaction and Concepts of Training; Additional
Training Methods in Krav-Maga; How to use this Book? and Safety in Training.
The book ends with the chapters "About the Authors" including the history of KM and
its founder Imi Sde-Or (Lichtenfeld), about Eyal Yanilov, and the Appendices including
also the section on Concepts and Terms Widely Used in Krav-Maga.
